I did it all myself!!

Liking the new look as much as I am? Want to know how I did it all? Well, ok then....here we go.... First, I went to a Blogging Bootcamp hosted by Sarah Roe and CC Miller . They told me all of their secrets, well as many as they could get out in those three hours, and I came home and started going to the sites they talked about. First, lets start with MakinCuteBlogs and Design It! Love It! she has a TON of tutorials.   Seriously, a TON! I also like TheCutestBlogontheBlock and of course google. If there was ever a question about something I didn't fully understand I just googled it. For a cute (simple) yet snazzy background I just discovered PatternCooler.com Now, before today I would have had a complete page full of sites I LOVE with those cute backgrounds.  However, PatternCooler has ALL of them beat!  Yes, ALL of them! I discovered PatternCooler thanks to google, it was on like page 5 I think, so worth the wait! Why do I like PC?

There are a few more to come, again little changes. There are still a few things under construction but will be up and running soon. Enjoy!

Birthday Cupcakes Update

(Shirley Temple Cupcakes) I first talked about this AMAZING cupcake here .  I read all the reviews and read over the recipe a few times just to see if I really felt this was for sure THE cupcake. It TOTALLY was!  OH! MY! GOSH! It was SOOOOO good! The cupcake itself is a yummy pomegranate flavor and was SO good just by itself.  The topping is where the Shirley Temple flavor comes in.  It is a sweet yet tart lemon/pomegranate flavor.  YUM! While making the cupcakes I discovered a few things.  The batter is TOTALLY weird!  Seriously.  I have never seen anything like it in my life.  Well, ok, maybe once when I was making my AWESOME Strawberry Buttercream and something went wrong, very wrong and everything separated.  It looked just like that.  Everything separated.  It was very soupy.  If you make this just know, there is nothing wrong, it should look like that. I did go ahead and make the homemade grenadine, also talked about here .  It was VERY good!  It is worth m

Cinnamon Muffins

I found myself all out of muffin mix this morning.  *SIGH*  What is a girl to do? Well!  Make your own, that's what! Cinnamon Muffins 1 1/2 C Flour 1/2 C Sugar 1/4 C Brown Sugar 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 2 tsp Baking Powder 1 Egg 1/2 C Milk 1/2 C Oil *Cinnamon Sugar Mix Preheat oven to 400 degrees Combine Flour, Sugar's, Salt, Cinnamon and Baking Powder in bowl. In separate small bowl beat egg.  Add Milk and Oil stir. Combine wet ingredients to dry and stir just until dry ingredients become wet, do not over mix. Fill greased muffin tins 1/3 full with mix (I was able to fill 8). Sprinkle top with Cinnamon Sugar Mix* and top with a bit more muffin mix.  Again, top with Cinnamon Sugar Mix*. Place in oven and bake for 15-20 min. *Cinnamon Sugar Mix I am sorry, I do not have exact measurements for this.  I combine a lot of regular sugar and brown sugar with a bit of cinnamon until it looks right. These are

Give me a BREAK!!!!!

(my MG ready for a break) I have to tell you.  Right now.  Right now at this very moment (ok and a few moments for the past week), I decided I am done!  For now.  With the Disney posts.  Now, I may very well change my mind in the next 30 seconds.  And you know what, that is totally ok. But. For now. I am done. On to other things. Yesterday was Mother's Day, it was my 6th Mother's Day and my mom's 30th.  Because of some unforeseen plumbing issues (in my house, imagine that!) we were able to spend the weekend together.  Saturday, all four of us girls spent the day shopping.  It was a good day.   Yesterday the four of us picked out some flowers/plants for my moms yard.  I even got some strawberries, pumpkins and tomatoes to plant.  It was a good weekend. This past week at school Mads filled out one of those fill in the blank forms about your mom.  Some of my favs that she put.... I love my mom because she "bakes me cookies" S

Kona Cafe - Restaurant Preview

I have read a LOT of wonderful reviews about the Kona Cafe and when I finally decided that 8 character meals while we are at Disney is just too many, I ventured out.  I needed something for the morning we will be going to Magic Kingdom, I needed the reservation early enough in the morning to still be able to make it to the park before it go too crowded and above all I needed it to have GREAT food. (Pic from Chip & Co. click to go to site) Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes Yep, that is all it took for me to make the reservation.  That and the Kona coffee that gets outstanding reviews. The menu says these pancakes come complete with "Macadamia Nut Butter, Pineapple Sauce, and your choice of Ham, Bacon, or Sausage".  Mmmmmmm!!! Don't worry, they do have other things that sound yummy! Tonga Toast is their other yummy sounding dish.  What is Tonga Toast?  Well....it is... "Banana-stuffed Sourdough French Toast rolled in Cinnamon Sugar and served with a Strawbe

Boxes for Bama info

Because of the recent Tornado Outbreak in Alabama there are many, many families that are now having to start over. I am not in the position that I can help by donating money but I AM in the position that I can help by sending a box of food! I encourage all of you to send one box of food and/or one box of toiletries. You can find Flat Rate Boxes at your local PO and as long as your box is under 75 lbs it is a flat rate to send, rate does depend on box size. If you would like to participate I can get more info to you, just send me a message on Facebook or email me at thecreativeprincess [at] gmail [dot] com. Also, if you would rather make a monetary donation you can do that as well. You can do that through me, all money will go to Mountain View Church to help them with costs of helping those in the area. If sending money, checks should be made out to Renovation Ministries and labeled clearly Tornado Relief . You can also donate to the American Red Cross. Than
