Man! This is just NOT my week!

So to say I am a hoarder is really a far stretch!  You can say I have a love of fabric, you can say I am thrifty, you can even go as far to call me cheap.  *gasp*  But a hoarder....no!  I do like to keep a few things around "just in case".  Let's take boxes for example.

A few years ago I ordered a boat load of flat rate and media mail boxes from the USPS.  I went to mail some packages last week and this morning I discovered my flat rate and media mail boxes are in fact, no longer flat rate or media mail boxes!  Lovely!

Even better?  Since I did all the postage online it can take up to 21 days for it to be returned!  Lovely.

How about even better?  When I was making my labels via paypal my paypal account somehow got charged twice!  Lovely!

Oh even better than THAT?  Because my paypal account was charged twice and I had just enough to cover the first set of labels it took the money out of my bank account.

Yep, you guessed it, it gets better.  So since I totally spaced out and forgot to change the account associated with my paypal it caused my old account to be overdrawn!  Uuuuuggggggghhhhhh!!!!!!

Guess there really isn't anyone to blame about all of this but myself.  But I am just going to go ahead and say it is ALL paypal and USPSes fault.  There, now I feel better.  Not really.

Let's just top my week off shall we?

So I know my Etsy store is a little well...hmm....lean, shall we say.  So I made a few things to list this week.  How exciting!

Well, it would be exciting if I could find my camera, so I can take pictures, so I can then upload and edit the pics, so I can then get things listed.

Well stink!  What day is it?  Oh right, Tuesday!  Well hopefully the rest of the week gets better.

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f

Granny's Flitters

I love my family!  There are so many things I love about each person and also about all of us as a whole.  One of the things I love about my family is we love traditions. Today I am going to share just one of the many traditions we have.....FLITTERS! To me when I think of comfort food, I think of Flitters.  It was a special morning to wake up to the delicious smell of flitters frying in the morning.  It is one smell that every time I smell I am brought right back to childhood and great memories. I am not really sure where the name "flitters" came from or if someone just made it up.  I can tell you how it got started though! My Great, Great Uncle Orville's mom (Grandma Cook) baked bread.  On the days she would make extra bread dough she would invite all of her grandkids over for a flitter night.  She would make her bread and then the extra dough she would roll out, cut into strips and fry up for the kids to enjoy.  That tradition was then passed to my
