Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza

School has been out for 2 weeks here. You would think that would mean things have started to slow down. Right? Wrong! I think the opposite has happened actually. This week alone we will be driving out of town not once, not twice, but 4 times for dance! FOUR TIMES! For DANCE! Oh my gosh! That is on top of our regular busy schedule. Recital is this weekend so we are prepping for that. Next week the girls will start summer dance, that is in town though so I won't feel as rushed. I hope. Since I have days that we are constantly running, I need an arsenal of quick meals. One of my FAVORITE quick meals is grilled pizza! It seriously takes just minutes to fix. The girls only eat cheese and Hubby will sometimes eat the same type of pizza I fix for myself....unless it has pineapples. He won't touch it if it has pineapples. This week I decided to try a Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza. Oh my gosh! It was delicious! Even Mads liked it! WooHoo! I used Tyson Grilled & Ready

Oven Fried Okra with Kraft Fresh Take

Fried Okra is one of my favorite treats. I never EVER eat okra any other way. EVER. Until last week. I just knew there had to be a healthier alternative. I mean let's face it, okra that is battered and dripping in fat isn't really the best thing for you. After checking out what Walmart had to offer, I decided on one of the new Kraft Fresh Take Meal Kits. Actually, I picked up two. I decided to get the Italian Parmesan and also the Rosemary & Roasted Garlic Fresh Take kits. I love that these kits are very versatile and can be used to make a quick and easy dinner or used on appetizers and/or side dishes. You can find them in the cheese department. While you are in the store picking up your package of Kraft Fresh Take, be sure to check packages of chicken in the meat department for a peelie! The coupon is for $1/1 Chicken Item wyb Fresh Take! This promo also runs until the end of July! I found the product extremely easy to use! Now that it is summer, I nee

Easy Strawberry Freezer Jam Recipe - Plus a GIVEAWAY!

My absolute favorite flavor of jelly, jam and/or spread is Strawberry. Yeah, I sometimes get a craving for grape or peach but, I always go back to strawberry. Growing up, my granny, mom and aunts made all sorts of jelly/jam. Mostly blackberry since we had tons of blackberry bushes but, I do remember them making strawberry and peach freezer jam every now and then. I have NEVER canned before so I knew making a freezer jam would be a great place to start my jelly/jam making adventure. Since you don't have to actually can this jam it makes it super easy for beginners. A few weeks ago I headed over to my Aunt Brenda's house and she taught me how to make our Mamie's Strawberry Freezer Jam. I could not get over how easy it was! Strawberry Freezer Jam Makes 5 8oz Jars 2 Cups Hulled Strawberries - Crushed 4 Cups Sugar 1 Box Surgel (pectin) 3/4 Cup Water Fresh Fruit (or fruit fresh) optional Directions In a large bowl, combine strawberries and sugar.

I love having a new outfit for just about every occasion. Summer is just around the corner and I found myself longing for a cute new summer outfit! We headed to Sears to find the perfect summer look. I knew I wanted something fun and I wanted a dress. One of the reasons I love shopping at Sears is all of the affordable fashion options !  Do you have big plans for summer fun? Living so close to one of the major lakes in Oklahoma, there is always something fun going on! We are always SO busy during the summer, but I plan to do something fun this year! Maybe have a few friends over, grill, let the kids play in the water. I can usually always find at least one item at an unbelievable price at Sears, I actually found my entire look on sale and/or clearance! I also love the Shop Your Way Rewards , earn points on your purchases and save even more!  I love hosting parties and I love dressing up for them! To me, what the hostess wears helps continue to set the tone for the

This is ME!

Last weekend I went to my very first blog conference. Having never been to a blog conference before, I have nothing to compare it to. I knew going into it that it would be awesome. I knew it was going to be like a big family reunion. Why? Because I already knew over half of the attendees! I knew it was going to be a giant love fest...people walking around "Oh hey girl, your are awesome!" or "Oh my gosh! It is SO nice to finally meet you in person!". What I didn't know was just how life changing it was going to be. The original keynote speaker was not able to make it. With less than 24 hours to prepare, our event coordinator, Jasmine, pulled out a show stopper! Her story was encouraging, inspiring, everything a closing keynote is supposed to be. You guys, she made us write love letters to ourselves! It was beyond awkward but, I did it! One of the things she encouraged us to do was start a movement. From this point forward be nothing but ourselves. No p

Make Bake Create Week 5 - Top 5 Mother's Day Recipes

You guys rocked it again last week on the Make Bake Create Party ! So much so that I am doing not one but TWO posts featuring you all this week! Today I am sharing my top 5 Mother's Day Recipes, tomorrow I will be sharing my top 5 Mother's Day Gift Ideas! Mother's day to me is more than celebrating being a mom or celebrating my own mom. It is a time for me to celebrate all the special women in my life, whether they are a mom of any kind or not. I know Mother's Day can be hard on those that have lost their mom's or children. It can be hard if you have no children. It can be hard if you do have children. I have many special women in my life, some are mom's and others are not. Does that make me love them any less? Does it make them have less of an impact on my life? Certainly not! I celebrate them because one way or another they have had a great impact on my life and that, to me, needs to be celebrated! So, however you may celebrate Mother's Da
