FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k...

Counting Down with Disney Princesses

Unless you are new to this blog, you know we love ALL things Disney. Mostly the Disney Princesses , and especially Ariel. You also know that we are going to Walt Disney World soon. Yes, I know you are sick of the countdown posts. I know, I know. But, we are SUPER excited and I am just trying to spread that excitement with you, you only have to put up with them for less than a month now. 22 DAYS to be exact!  22 DAYS! Eeek!! My mind is racing just thinking about everything I STILL have to get done. I also only have 20 days to remember where I stashed some of the surprises for the girls. That one might be tricky. Like, where did I put our tickets for the Halloween Party? Anyone? Yeah, I can't remember either. To celebrate our continuing WDW Countdown, we had a Disney Princess Party last week to celebrate being less than a month away from our trip. Unlike the other parties/countdown events, this one was a complete surprise to the girls. Did you hear their scream...

Countdown to Disney with The Little Mermaid

If you have been following this blog very long, you know we are HUGE Disney fans. But not just Disney, Disney Princesses to be exact. If you ask either of my girls who their favorite Disney Princess is, they will reply with an excited "Ariel". Two years ago, on our very first trip to Walt Disney World, Madison received the Royal Princess Makeover. She was able to be transformed by the wonderful Fairy Godmother's of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique into any Disney Princess of her choice. She chose Princess Ariel, The Little Mermaid. As we prepare for our next trip to Walt Disney World, in just 38 DAYS, we are getting the girls excited with little gifts each month. This month it is all about Ariel. I recently took a trip to Walmart and picked up a few toys I just knew the girls would love! Ok, before we go on. YES! I know that is Merida from Brave. Mads is starting to really love her as well, so I just had to pick her up also. I picked up the Merida Sparkling ...

Countdown to Disney Celebration

It is NO secret we LOVE Disney around here. I mean LOVE!  We took the girls to Walt Disney World for the first time 2 years ago. We are taking them back again this fall, along with my MIL. I CAN NOT WAIT! To get the girls even MORE excited about our upcoming trip, I decided to have a Countdown to Disney Celebration this weekend! We all headed out to Walmart to pick up everything we need, even the cake. I LOVE that they are a one stop party shop! We just celebrated MGs birthday in April and WISH they would have had half the selection they do right now. I was blown away! Even though we weren't having a birthday party, I thought it would still be fun to play a game. The girls LOVED this game, they didn't do too bad either. I think the 'photo booth' was my FAVORITE part of our celebration! The girls loved playing with the props and taking pics with Minnie and Daisy. I taped paper straws to the photo props and also added just a bit of glitter to ma...

Cinderella's Royal Ball

A few weeks ago I told you that we were getting ready to Celebrate Cinderella by having a Royal Ball.  To get ready for our ball we did all sorts of things!  We had our gowns pressed, purchased all of our goodies for our wonderful guests, and even attended some perfectly princess events. One of the events was the Disney Cinderella Retailtainment Event at our local Walmart.  It was a cold and windy day so Princess MG and Princess Mads had to dress in layers. At the event we received coloring sheets and cake. The cake was SO good!  We also purchased the recently re-released Cinderella Blu-Ray/DVD to watch at our upcoming Royal Ball. We also downloaded the Royal Ball app (you can find it in your app store here or here ). We had so much fun with the app!  You get to create beautiful ensembles, choose your crown, design your carriage and attended a Royal Ball!  You can also unlock other outfits and bring your carriage to life by scanning select i...

Celebrating Cinderella

You guys! I am SO excited!  I mean SERIOUSLY excited! Disney is releasing Cinderella again....after 7 years in the Disney Vault!  Oh my gosh! I don't know how it was for you but, Cinderella was the very FIRST Disney Princess I was introduced to when I was little.  That I remember anyway.  I can not WAIT to share all of the magic of Cinderella with my girls!  Eeek! Over the next few weeks a few things are happening that you need to be aware of, if you are a Disney Princess fan! First up!  On Oct 2nd the re-releas ed Cinderella comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD! On October 6th select Walmart stores will be having a Retailtainment Event from 11am-3pm and guess what.....YOU are invited!!   Finally....I will be having a PARTY to celebrate all the Cinderella fun on Oct 13th!  Oh my girls are SO excited! We went shopping the other day to pick up a few things for the party. I have actually been scoping out the Cinderel...

First Family Vacation - Third Day in Parks - Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Once I saw your little girl could become a Princess I was SO reserving a spot for Mads. At Walt Disney World there are two locations available for you to do this.  One is at Downtown Disney and the other is inside MK at the Castle.  We were booked at the Castle. After a quick refresh and nap from our busy morning we were back at MK waiting patiently for our turn to turn our little girl into our little princess.  She was SO excited! When you walk in you tell them your child's name and what package you will be getting.  Then you pick out all of your options according to your package. We were getting the Castle package which includes everything, hair, makeup, costume, shoes, crown, nails, pictures and more. After all info is received you get to escort your little girl over to an area to pick out her shoes, dress, etc.  Once she has it all picked out you let your Fairy Godmother in Training know and she sets everything up.  Once she gets everything just ri...

First Family Vacation - Day 3 in Parks - Magic Kingdom - Part 1

Oh Magic Kingdom (MK).  When most people think of Walt Disney World it is Magic Kingdom that comes to mind first.  It is after all where all the cool people hang out! If you are there before the park opens you get to see a cute little skit that welcomes you to the park.  The train pulls into the station and the conductor gets off the train and welcomes you to the park and introduces the characters.  Then they all break out in song and dance.  Totally cute!   After the performance is over there is a mad RUSH into the park.  Seriously, if you don't want to get ran over just stay back a little bit. Once we were in the park we headed straight to Main Street Bakery.  We had reservations for Kona Cafe but I just could not stomach walking back in the Poly after the night we had at Ohana a few nights before.  So we canceled and just ate in the park.  Not the best way to spend our dining plan credits but it is what it is. Hubs had an omelet ...
