Nestle Girl Scout Crunch Cheesecake Shooters

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #Cookies2Crunch I first brought you this post last summer. It was crazy popular and since I have been able to find these little nuggets of yum again, I thought I would reshare these amazing recipes with you.    Do you love Girl Scout Cookies ? Do you find yourself sad when cookie sales are over and you wake up in a panic, realizing you did not buy NEAR enough cookies? Yeah, me either. I actually only buy one or two boxes each year. But, once those are gone I do get kind of sad knowing I will have to wait until next year to enjoy my favorites again. I always say I am going to buy extra boxes just so I can create amazing recipes with the delicious cookies but, I never do. And then I regret it. Then, I discovered these amazing little candy bar cookie hybrids from Nestle Crunch. Just like the cookies though, they are only available for a limited time. But, at...

Mr. Coffee® Optimal Brew™ Drip Coffee Maker and Millstone® Flavored Coffee Giveaway

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias, Millstone® Coffee, and Mr. Coffee®. #CoffeeJourneys #CollectiveBias Do you remember how your your first cup of coffee? I do! I had stayed the night with my aunt, Rita, when I woke up the next morning I watched with intrigue as her good ol drip coffee maker did it's thing. We never had coffee in our house when I was little, so this was very magical to me. I remember asking with excitement for a cup of coffee, of course it was more milk and sugar than coffee. Today, my cup of coffee isn't much different. HA! I prefer a creamy, sugary, cup of flavored coffee . Like a lot of people, I've been using a single cup coffee maker for years. I'm the only one in my house that drinks coffee. But, funny thing, when you move to a new house, you have lots of company all the sudden! Over Christmas I decided I HAD t...

#ad Top 3 Sausage Breakfast Ideas

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for #CollectiveBias and its advertiser. As you all know, I am a HUGE Wright Brand Bacon fan. I don't think fan is strong enough to describe my love of Wright Brand . You can imagine how excited I was to find out that they now offer Sausage! As soon as I found out, ideas started popping in my head left and right on how to incorporate it into our breakfast routine. I knew I wanted to take it beyond just a side to waffles or pancakes.  Growing up, it was rare we had sausage gravy, we usually just had plain cream gravy made with bacon grease. Because of this, it took me a while to warm up to sausage gravy. Once I started making my own gravy, I preferred making it with sausage. Why? Well, because it helped hide the lumps. Yep. What good southern girl doesn't know how to make gravy? What good southern girl has two thumbs pointing t...

Saying Thanks with Peanut Butter and M&M Cookies

If you follow me on Facebook , you know we recently moved. When you move, you pray that God will protect your new house, protect you as you move, pray that your new neighbors are nice. After meeting your new neighbors, and finding out that they are really nice, older, and have lived in their home for a while, you begin to feel a sense of community at your new location. You start thinking that these are the kind of people you want to have around you if something were to ever happen and there was an emergency. The type of people you could run over to ask for a cup of sugar for your baking recipe because you thought you had enough, but it turns out you didn't. The type of people you feel will have your back should you go on vacation and need someone to look after your dog. One thing you might not think about is what if something were to happen to them? Unfortunately, last night we experienced this. We had been home from a weekend in Branson for about 30 minutes. All of a s...

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k...

Holiday Baking - Mamie's Rum Cake

I decided to start a new series, I will be sharing a few of my favorite holiday baking recipes with you over the next month. All are family recipes, passed down to me. I have been so very blessed over the years to have many, MANY, strong women placed in my life. One of the strongest ones was my Mamie. Before I share her amazing Rum Cake recipe with you, I want to share a bit about her and what made her so amazing to me. Let me start by saying, Mamie did not start out as my Mamie (i.e. pseudo-grandma). When I was a little kid, I knew her as Janie. She was my Granny's beautician. For years, once or twice a week, I would go with my granny to Janie's Beauty Shop and just sit and look at magazines. Sometimes I would rearrange her perm rollers or clean the bins out. She never minded I did any of that. Over the years Janie and my Granny became closer and closer, the best of friends. You would not see one without the other it seemed. When Granny passed away, Janie took us...

A Day in the Life of a Blogger - It's not all Bon Bons and Gourmet Coffee

Have you ever wanted to go behind the scenes? To see what it's really like to be a Blogger? You wouldn't believe how many people think it's all Bon Bons and Gourmet Coffee . Sure, we do indulge from time to time, but that is definitely not an every day occurrence! Really, THIS is what the behind the scenes look like. Most days are frantic. CRAZY busy! Don't believe me? This was my day yesterday: 6:45-7:15am Wake up, get girls up, get breakfast in the oven,  tell girls to get up again and make sure they are getting dressed and they somewhat match. 7:15-7:20am Take breakfast out of the oven, plate, pour juice, make sure the girls are eating.  7:20am-7:35am Check bags, write notes back to the teachers, get coats on, head out the door. 7:35-7:55am Drive girls to school, kisses, hugs, encouraging words *GET OUT OF THE CAR OR YOU WILL BE LATE!* 8am Return home, breath for just a second then get in the shower and get dressed for the day. 9am Pick MG up fro...

Creamy Fettuccini Alfredo featuring Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter

Fettuccine Alfredo is my absolute FAVORITE meal. Every time we go out to eat Italian, there is no question as to what I will be ordering. I have always been a bit intimidated to make Alfredo sauce at home, and no jarred Alfredo sauce comes close to being good. What is a girl to do?!? Luckily, my aunt showed me just how easy it is to make a few years ago. Now, thanks to Land O’Lakes Sauté Express ® Sauté Starter it is even easier! All you do is add Butter, Cream Cheese and one package of Sauté Express® Sauté Starter to your pot. Stir until melted. Then simply add Parmesan Cheese and Half & Half and stir until melted. This does take a bit of time, just be prepared.  In about 20 minutes, you will have a delicious Alfredo Sauce and you didn't even have to chop garlic! Don't get me wrong, I love garlic, but I don't always love the smell of my hands after I chop it. Plus, my girls don't care for a lot of garlic. The Sauté Express® Sauté Starter...

Counting Down with Disney Princesses

Unless you are new to this blog, you know we love ALL things Disney. Mostly the Disney Princesses , and especially Ariel. You also know that we are going to Walt Disney World soon. Yes, I know you are sick of the countdown posts. I know, I know. But, we are SUPER excited and I am just trying to spread that excitement with you, you only have to put up with them for less than a month now. 22 DAYS to be exact!  22 DAYS! Eeek!! My mind is racing just thinking about everything I STILL have to get done. I also only have 20 days to remember where I stashed some of the surprises for the girls. That one might be tricky. Like, where did I put our tickets for the Halloween Party? Anyone? Yeah, I can't remember either. To celebrate our continuing WDW Countdown, we had a Disney Princess Party last week to celebrate being less than a month away from our trip. Unlike the other parties/countdown events, this one was a complete surprise to the girls. Did you hear their scream...
