FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days!

It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate.

Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was kind of excited to try it myself, since hearing about it in a movie years ago, I have always wanted to try it.

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

Adapted from Six Sisters Stuff

Serves 1

Ingredients

1/4 Cup Cocoa Mix

2 1/4 tsp. Sugar

3/4 Cup Cream

1 1/2 Cups Ice Cubes

Directions

Place all ingredients into blender.

Blend until smooth.

Pour into glasses and top with whipped topping.

The FROZEN Hot Chocolate was a hit! I did save back a few of the FROZEN toys I picked up for Christmas, but then again I might give them to the girls when we go see FROZEN the movie in the theater later this week.

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet! Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Granny's Flitters

I love my family! There are so many things I love about each person and also about all of us as a whole. One of the things I love about my family is we love traditions. Today I am going to share just one of the many traditions we have.....FLITTERS! To me when I think of comfort food, I think of Flitters. It was a special morning to wake up to the delicious smell of flitters frying in the morning. It is one smell that every time I smell I am brought right back to childhood and great memories.
