Take a break with Woman's World Magazine

You all know I am an advocate for taking just a few minutes a day to take some time for yourself. It is so important to help keep you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the day. I know as a mom, I don't always have a lot of time and some days I just can't take one second away from my mom duties. However, I also know that certain days of the week I am able to take more than a few minutes, more like an hour or two, to make time for me. This is a great time of year to grab your favorite magazine and head outside to soak up some fresh air and just recharge! While at Walmart today, I decided to pick up the latest issue of Woman's World magazine. It is one of my favorites! Since I don't subscribe, I just pick up an issue when I am out. At just $1.79 Woman's World is a great bargain! I like to take a few minutes a few times a week to take a break and sit and read my stack of magazines. I always look forward to what the pages of Woman'

Make Bake Create Week 3 Features!

We are on a role with the Make Bake Create Party! It is SO fun to see everything you guys link up each week! I am inspired each week by your posts and look forward to trying one of YOUR creations this week! This week I am the official party host and have a pretty amazing recipe to share with you! Be sure to check back tomorrow at 5:00pm Central Time to see what recipe I decided to feature....and try! It was a really hard decision! Because there were so many GREAT posts this week, I wanted to be sure to also share my top 3 with you! First, I love, love, love this Vertical Flower Garden from Jessca at A Million Moments ! I plan on making a few of these in a few weeks and put them along our fence. Our dog likes to dig up flowers and I think this would help prevent that! Plus, they are really cute! Summer is just around the corner and I can't wait! Although, one thing I don't like about summer is how HOT my kitchen gets when I am cooking! UGH! This is why I t

Tyson Chicken Fries with Sweet Cranberry Sauce

*I was compensated for this post in exchange for my honest review/opinion*   Do your kids LOVE chicken nuggets? I have one girl that loves them and one that will not touch them with a ten foot pole! My non nugget lover LOVES fries though and would eat her weight in French Fries and Ketchup every day if allowed. It is sometimes hard to get protein in her. A few days ago we headed to Sam's Club to pick up some Tyson Chicken Fries to see if my youngest would eat them. I love that I can use them as either a quick chicken snack or a quick chicken dinner. Since I don't really like eating ketchup with chicken, I wanted to make a yummy dipping sauce. I wanted a sweet sauce, but not overly sweet. I knew I did not want to do a honey mustard so I decided on a Sweet Cranberry Sauce. It is a GREAT sauce/dip and works well with not only chicken, but meatballs as well. Just place the ingredients in a saucepan and allow to reduce by half. This sauce/dip can be enjoyed

Make Bake Create Blog Party - Week 3

Snacking....My Diet Downfall

*This is a sponsored post. I was compensated in exchange for my honest review of this product* Ugh! I am so sick of the lack of willpower I have right now. As I shared a few weeks ago, I have 3 pesky pounds that I just can not get rid of. I haven't been trying THAT hard though either, in all honesty. I have gotten really bad about snacking between meals, I also have been slacking with portion control. I know eating a fiber filled breakfast will help me feel fuller longer and this would help me stop snacking between meals. However, I have been so overwhelmingly busy lately that some days I don't get a chance to eat until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. That is NOT ok! I have been reading up on a product called Full Core that is said to help control hunger. I was immediately drawn to this product because it has 40% of your daily fiber limit in 1 drink and helps with digestive health! For someone that does not get enough daily fiber, like me, that's awesome! It al

Peanut Butter Syrup

Do you like to put peanut butter on your pancakes, or waffles? WHAT?!?! You have NEVER tried that? Oh my gosh! You are seriously missing out! I am not one to usually mix my food like that, and honestly I thought it would be the most DISGUSTING thing in the world when I first heard about it. Seriously. I did! Then I actually tried it.  Oh! My! Gosh! It is like THE BEST flavor combo.......EVER! You have the warm pancake mixed with the warm melted peanut butter, topped with warm maple (or fake maple) syrup. Oh! SO GOOD! I decided last week to take this to an entirely different level and COMBINE the syrup and peanut butter!  *GASP*  The result was out of this world! Peanut Butter Syrup Ingredients 1 Cup Maple Syrup (or fake maple) 1/4 Cup Peanut Butter 1 tsp Vanilla Directions In a microwave safe bowl (I used a glass jar), combine all of your ingredients. Give the mixture a good stir then microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave for an add

Do you have SPOOKY windows?

*I received the following product for free in exchange for my ho nest review. All opinions are my own.*   A few weeks ago I saw something that came across my twitter feed . It was something I had NEVER seen or heard of before..... Wallpaper for Windows ! Seriously, it was a REALLY cool product! I let the people over at Wallpaper for Windows know how cool I thought their product was and they responded by allowing me to do a review! How totally AWESOME is that?!?! It really is no secret that I am totally afraid to look out my kitchen window at night. Totally freaks me out! The easy solution would be to put curtains up....right? Well yeah, except my kitchen is SUPER small and I need that extra light, plus I use the natural light from that window to take all my food pics for this blog. *sigh*  So I have nothing covering it, totally empty, waiting for some alien being to pop up and scare the living daylights out of me every night. Seriously, that is what runs through my head as I
