Smore's-in-a-Jar

You will need:
12 Graham Crackers
3 Cups Mini Marshmallows
4 regular size chocolate candy bars

Directions for Jar:
Place crackers, marshmallows and chocolate in jar.
Tie with a cute ribbon and attach directions for how the recipient will make the dessert.

Direction for Smore’s:
In addition to contents of jar you will need:
¾ Cup butter
¾ Cup firmly packed brown sugar

Directions:
Heat oven to 350*
Line pan with aluminum foil; spray with cooking spray.  Place crackers onto foil so sides touch.
Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan over MEDIUM heat, stirring constantly,
until smooth and mixture starts to boil, about 5 minutes.  Pour evenly over crackers.
Bake 5-6 minutes or until bubbly
Remove pan from oven; sprinkle with marshmallows and broken candy bar pieces.  Place back in oven and bake until marshmallows begin to soften, about 2-3 minutes.  Allow to cool completely then cut into bars.

You can also get a hot dog roasting stick and tie to the front as well so they can make actual Smore's.

Enjoy!

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Fr...

Being {P}resent

This post is sponsored by Family Christian . All opinions are my own. Last year I decided on the word Change for my 'word of the year'. This year, my word is Present. Present. Being, existing or occurring at this time or now. At this time. Being with one or others. Being here. Present. Over the last year, many, MANY things have changed. There have been divorces, marriages, babies being born, loved ones lost, illnesses, decisions were made. Lives were forever changed. I'm not going to lie, 2014 was a TOUGH year. I grew and learned a LOT about myself, my husband, our marriage, our children, our families and our friends. Our world was rocked more than once last year.   One of the major changes that occurred in 2014, we decided to start homeschooling. You guys. That was a HARD decision. The first few months were HARD. Our relationships with the girls changed....for the better. We have all learned SO MUCH. This change was good! Because of all of...
