#TysonBreakfast Bread Bowls #Cbias

A few days ago I received the NEW Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls in the mail.  You know, when packages like this show up I always wonder what my mailman thinks.  I was SO excited to get these!  There has been so much buzz about these that I could not wait to try them.

The Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls are available at select Sam’s.  Since they come from Sam’s you get a LOT of them, which is good because they taste great.  You will get 6 packs of two bowls.  So you end up with a total of 12 bowls.

My box of Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls arrived at my door in a BIG Styrofoam cooler with a HUGE ‘Tyson’ sticker on the side.  Inside I found some info sheets and little dry ice pellets, along with my box of bowls.  My hubby was SO excited about the dry ice and promptly gave the girls a short science lesson.

Since it was later in the day when we received our box we decided to wait to try them for another day.  So….MG and I shared a pack this morning.  I did not sleep well last night and was SO tired this morning.  I did not feel like fixing a big breakfast and even cereal was pushing it just a bit.  Then I remembered I had the bread bowls in the freezer.  Perfect!

You just take a package of bowls out of the box, place it on a microwave safe plate and pop them in the microwave.  SO simple and so fast!  The bowls are the perfect size!  Big enough to keep you full but not too big that you are stuffed.  We paired ours up with some fruit and a glass of milk.

MG and I both really enjoyed our breakfast.  The #TysonBreakfast Bread Bowls are really good, they are stuffed with eggs, cheese and my favorite, BACON!  I thought the bread would be more like a biscuit but, it is more like a roll.  Regardless, it is good!

You can find more info about the #TysonBreakfast Bread Bowls on twitter and Facebook.

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f

Granny's Flitters

I love my family!  There are so many things I love about each person and also about all of us as a whole.  One of the things I love about my family is we love traditions. Today I am going to share just one of the many traditions we have.....FLITTERS! To me when I think of comfort food, I think of Flitters.  It was a special morning to wake up to the delicious smell of flitters frying in the morning.  It is one smell that every time I smell I am brought right back to childhood and great memories. I am not really sure where the name "flitters" came from or if someone just made it up.  I can tell you how it got started though! My Great, Great Uncle Orville's mom (Grandma Cook) baked bread.  On the days she would make extra bread dough she would invite all of her grandkids over for a flitter night.  She would make her bread and then the extra dough she would roll out, cut into strips and fry up for the kids to enjoy.  That tradition was then passed to my
