Nestle Girl Scout Crunch Cheesecake Shooters

Do you love Girl Scout Cookies? Do you find yourself sad when cookie sales are over and you wake up in a panic, realizing you did not buy NEAR enough cookies? Yeah, me either. I actually only buy one or two boxes each year. But, once those are gone I do get kind of sad knowing I will have to wait until next year to enjoy my favorites again.

I always say I am going to buy extra boxes just so I can create amazing recipes with the delicious cookies but, I never do. And then I regret it. Then, I discovered these amazing little candy bar cookie hybrids from Nestle Crunch. Just like the cookies though, they are only available for a limited time. But, at least I can just head to my local Walmart and pick up a few boxes of Nestle Girl Scout Crunch bars when the craving...errr...I mean recipe idea hits!
I love that these are so tiny! I can have one and not feel bad about it later. Now, if I have like 3...that's a different story. And something I would NEVER do. *ahem*

I like taking my snacks to the next level, and these are no different! I had a major craving for some cheesecake the other day, but I know if I make a normal size cheesecake I will eat way too much of it. So, I decided to use some shooter glasses and make perfectly portioned snack sized cheesecakes.
These are SO easy to make! Just crumble up one of the little bars, place a bit in the bottom of a shooter glass and top with cheesecake filling (I used Jell-O No Bake). Continue to layer until you reach to the top of the glass and top with whipped cream. That's it! I did add chocolate syrup to the Thin Mint and Tagalong versions and added caramel syrup and toasted coconut to the Samoa version.
These were SO good! I was going to add some peanut butter to the Tagalong version but, decided not to. It honestly didn't need it. The Peanut Butter Creme bar provided the perfect balance of chocolate, peanut butter and crunch!
The Samoa version was hands down my favorite! I do have a long standing love affair with toasted coconut and caramel though. Man oh man was this GOOD!

Be sure to stock up on these bars before they are gone! I may, or may not, be hording hiding a few boxes in my freezer.

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k

Le Cellier - Chedder Cheese Soup Recipe Review

I first talked about this soup here .   I have to admit, was not real eager to try this soup.  I can not stand the taste of beer.  PERIOD!  It doesn't take much in a recipe for me to be able to taste it.  With that being said, the soup wasn't bad.  I would try it with ginger ale next time though. Before I tell you what I thought of the soup I need to be fair and tell you about some changes I made to the recipe. First, the recipe tells you to cook the bacon just to render out the fats, not to make crispy.  I did not render out enough of the fats and in fact next time, I would cook the bacon until it IS crispy.  I don't like limp bacon, I like my bacon extra crispy. Second, I TOTALLY forgot to cook down the onions and celery before adding the flour!  Ummmm......ooops! So my bacon was limp and my veggies were crispy!  HAHA! Next, I am not on a budget to be able to purchase "Aged White Cheddar" so good ol Yellow Sharp Cheddar it was! I did NOT add one tablespoo

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f
