Celebrating Summer with Nestle and Tombstone

Now that school is out and the stress of dance recital is over, we can focus on SUMMER!  YAY!
#grabsummerfun, #cbias, playing outside
My girls would live outside this time of year, if I would let them.  We are usually outside from the time breakfast is over, until it is time for bed.  We have a few breaks and come inside when it gets really hot, but the majority of our day is spent outside.

A few days ago we decided to have a little celebration to officially welcome summer.  We headed to  Walmart and picked up a few items so we can #GrabSummerFun!

We picked out some new sidewalk chalk, some new bubbles, a Tombstone Pizza and some Nestle Drumsticks.  To see my entire path to purchase, check out my Google+ story.
Nestle, Tombstone, Walmart
They were giving out free samples of pizza and mini Drumsticks while we were there!  AWESOME!
They were also passing out pizza and Drumstick shaped fliers with coupons inside!  WooHoo!
bubbles, pizza, ice cream, drumsticks
Everything we needed was very easy to find.

Once we got home it was time to CELEBRATE!
We decided to grill the pizza, while the grill was heating up the girls played with their new sidewalk chalk and bubbles.

The grill was finally ready!  I put the pizza on, waited the 15 minuets and......

The top looked great, the bottom was BURNT!  Not just a little burnt, the above pic is deceiving, it was the color of charcoal!  HAHA!  But, it was still good....once you picked the charred pieces off.

After we got through that fiasco it was time for ice cream and more playing.

We had such a great time!  Now just to finish cleaning the pool out so we can REALLY enjoy summer!

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k

Le Cellier - Chedder Cheese Soup Recipe Review

I first talked about this soup here .   I have to admit, was not real eager to try this soup.  I can not stand the taste of beer.  PERIOD!  It doesn't take much in a recipe for me to be able to taste it.  With that being said, the soup wasn't bad.  I would try it with ginger ale next time though. Before I tell you what I thought of the soup I need to be fair and tell you about some changes I made to the recipe. First, the recipe tells you to cook the bacon just to render out the fats, not to make crispy.  I did not render out enough of the fats and in fact next time, I would cook the bacon until it IS crispy.  I don't like limp bacon, I like my bacon extra crispy. Second, I TOTALLY forgot to cook down the onions and celery before adding the flour!  Ummmm......ooops! So my bacon was limp and my veggies were crispy!  HAHA! Next, I am not on a budget to be able to purchase "Aged White Cheddar" so good ol Yellow Sharp Cheddar it was! I did NOT add one tablespoo

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f
