Well Isn't That Pinteresting!

I am smack dab in the middle of planning Mads 7th birthday party.
Where does the time go?

Mads has decided she would like a Hello Kitty Luau themed party this year.  Do you know how hard it is to find Hello Kitty Luau?  It's REALLY hard!  But, we are making it work.

Thanks to Pinterest, I have been able to morph a few ideas together.

You know how much I love Pinterest but one of my FAVORITE things to do on there is find cute party ideas.  If you can think of a theme, someone has pinned something to go along with it.

Here are a few of my FAVORITE themes from Pinterest.....

This Monster Bash party from Kate at And Everything Sweet is SO cute!  She even let you design your own monster cupcake, how cool is that?!  While you are checking out the post about this party, be sure to take a look around her blog.  She has some pretty AWESOME cakes on there and TONS of other party ideas!

Heather, over at Chickabug, put together some AWESOME Sesame Street party ideas!  I LOVE the tissue paper puffs made to look like our favorite friends (number 3).  You will also find great party ideas on her site as well.
I think this Baking Party featured on The Party Dress would be SO fun for a sleepover!  For the "treat bag" each girl was given a cupcake in a jar.  FUN!

Now!  Let's get to MY dream party!  If I were to through myself a party RIGHT NOW it would be one, or both, or a mix, of the following parties:

This Sugar and Spice party, featured on Sweet Designs (a blog by Amy Atlas), is just breathtaking!  I LOVE the torn fabric garland, the puffs of cotton candy, the colors, just everything!

I also LOVE this Sweet as a Peach party, featured on HWTM Daily, is equally as breathtaking as the Sugar and Spice.  The cake is just AMAZING!  The warm glow of the candles, all of the goodies.  It's just beautiful!

So, there you have it!  My favorite party themes from Pinterest!  Isn't it so Pinteresting?  I would LOVE to know some of your favorite themes, feel free to link to them in your comment.

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k

Le Cellier - Chedder Cheese Soup Recipe Review

I first talked about this soup here .   I have to admit, was not real eager to try this soup.  I can not stand the taste of beer.  PERIOD!  It doesn't take much in a recipe for me to be able to taste it.  With that being said, the soup wasn't bad.  I would try it with ginger ale next time though. Before I tell you what I thought of the soup I need to be fair and tell you about some changes I made to the recipe. First, the recipe tells you to cook the bacon just to render out the fats, not to make crispy.  I did not render out enough of the fats and in fact next time, I would cook the bacon until it IS crispy.  I don't like limp bacon, I like my bacon extra crispy. Second, I TOTALLY forgot to cook down the onions and celery before adding the flour!  Ummmm......ooops! So my bacon was limp and my veggies were crispy!  HAHA! Next, I am not on a budget to be able to purchase "Aged White Cheddar" so good ol Yellow Sharp Cheddar it was! I did NOT add one tablespoo

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f
