Pony Royale Princess Ponies Review

This post is sponsored by Pony Royale. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

A few months ago I received an email letting me know I had been selected to review some new toys.

I knew my girls would be REALLY excited about these because, well....they are totally girlie.  Pony Royale combines what my girls love the most....

Princesses and Ponies.
We FINALLY had a day that we had absolutely NOTHING planned a few weeks ago.  So, I decided to let the girls open the box.

It is kind of hard to see but Mads face was PRICELESS!  She was SO beyond excited!

MG LOVED Starfire, she was immediately attracted to the red.

Mads LOVED the blue and black pony, Sky.
Each pony comes with two sets of manes and tails and also fun fashion pieces that can be interchanged.  With the two ponies we received, we were able to make over 60 fashion styles, the girls had a blast!

You can find the Pony Royale Princess Ponies at Toys R Us and select Target stores NOW!
Here are the things the girls loved:
Just about everything can be changed. This allows many hours of fun, sharing the pieces with each other and coming up with new creations.
The heads move.
They are ponies.
You can brush their hair.
The stone on their head is "So super sparkly!"
Here are the things I did not love so much:
There are a lot of pieces to try to keep up with, but like all products with a lot of just need a storage container.
The legs do not move. The girls did not seem to mind this but I think it would be fun if the legs moved.
After a few days of brushing and playing, the mane and tail hair was very frizzy.
Here is a bit more info about the ponies:
"Pony Royale, a new toy line starring beautiful princess ponies, brings a fresh new approach to princess play in the fashion doll category.  Pony Royale combines favorite play patterns - hair play, fashion play and nurturing play – to give children endless hours of open-ended creative play with a fun and easy fashion system. The twelve Princess Ponies are pony action figure dolls with names, personalities, and changeable hair and outfits."
In the end:
The girls LOVED these!  I will be looking for them in stores, Christmas is just around the corner you know!

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k

Le Cellier - Chedder Cheese Soup Recipe Review

I first talked about this soup here .   I have to admit, was not real eager to try this soup.  I can not stand the taste of beer.  PERIOD!  It doesn't take much in a recipe for me to be able to taste it.  With that being said, the soup wasn't bad.  I would try it with ginger ale next time though. Before I tell you what I thought of the soup I need to be fair and tell you about some changes I made to the recipe. First, the recipe tells you to cook the bacon just to render out the fats, not to make crispy.  I did not render out enough of the fats and in fact next time, I would cook the bacon until it IS crispy.  I don't like limp bacon, I like my bacon extra crispy. Second, I TOTALLY forgot to cook down the onions and celery before adding the flour!  Ummmm......ooops! So my bacon was limp and my veggies were crispy!  HAHA! Next, I am not on a budget to be able to purchase "Aged White Cheddar" so good ol Yellow Sharp Cheddar it was! I did NOT add one tablespoo

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f
