Catch Celery Night Fever!

This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.

My family LOVES VeggieTales. Our love started when Mads was just a baby. My mom purchased a CD with VeggieTales songs that incorporated Mads name. We listened to that CD on repeat for a solid 2 years. Yes. We did. 7 years later, I can still hear the songs in my sleep 'If you like to waltz with tomatoes, Madison.' HA! We still have that CD, I need to dig it out so Mads can listen to it again.

Because of our love for all things VeggieTales, I am SO excited to let you in on a little secret! VeggieTales is introducing a new movie about forgiveness 'Celery Night Fever'. The DVD comes out August 5th and I can not wait to purchase it! We are doing our best to teach MG, our youngest, about forgiveness and I think this movie will help immensely.
We are also excited about the 'Celery Night Fever' premiere at Family Christian Stores! Attend the event, enter the contest, and you could win a FUN visit from Bob and Larry at your child's next birthday party! In addition, 5 lucky First Prize winners will receive a Kobo Arc tablet loaded with VeggieTales videos!

Be sure to pre-order the DVD from FamilyChristian.com! They are offering a special price AND a free gift when you pre-order! Also, follow #CeleryNightFever on Instagram to see all the fun contest pics!

FROZEN Hot Chocolate

I am sure by now, most of you know that FROZEN the Movie is coming to theaters THIS WEEK (the 27th to be exact)! I am so excited!! My girls saw some of the FROZEN merchandise while we were at Walt Disney World and that is all they could talk about.....for days! It has been a rough school year for both of the girls so far. Mads is adjusting to being in the upper elementary, was dealing with a bully and gets super frustrated with math (even though she is really good at it). MG is adjusting to actually being in school, went through a time of having accidents at school and she just misses her mommy. To celebrate Mads good grades and MG going a month accident free, I decided to treat the girls with a few fun new toys and some hot chocolate. Once I heard that FROZEN merchandise was available at Walmart, I ran to stock up. While I was there, it hit me! I could have #Frozenfun with the hot chocolate and make FROZEN Hot chocolate! I just knew the girls would love it! I was k

Le Cellier - Chedder Cheese Soup Recipe Review

I first talked about this soup here .   I have to admit, was not real eager to try this soup.  I can not stand the taste of beer.  PERIOD!  It doesn't take much in a recipe for me to be able to taste it.  With that being said, the soup wasn't bad.  I would try it with ginger ale next time though. Before I tell you what I thought of the soup I need to be fair and tell you about some changes I made to the recipe. First, the recipe tells you to cook the bacon just to render out the fats, not to make crispy.  I did not render out enough of the fats and in fact next time, I would cook the bacon until it IS crispy.  I don't like limp bacon, I like my bacon extra crispy. Second, I TOTALLY forgot to cook down the onions and celery before adding the flour!  Ummmm......ooops! So my bacon was limp and my veggies were crispy!  HAHA! Next, I am not on a budget to be able to purchase "Aged White Cheddar" so good ol Yellow Sharp Cheddar it was! I did NOT add one tablespoo

Strawberries and Cream Instant Oatmeal | Recipe

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet!   Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up.  I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this.  FREE is ALWAYS good!   I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail.  I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results.  I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it.  You can also make this into packets by just scooping the desired amount into zip-top bags. {Strawberries & Cream Instant Oatmeal}   12 Servings 6 Cups Quick Cook Oats 1 1/2 Cups Oat Powder 2 Cups Powdered Milk 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Freeze Dried Strawberries Directions f
